Job Summary

As a Global FE Layout Senior Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be part of Micron's Global Factory Automation team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop full factory tool layout models that will serve as the basis for designing industry-leading manufacturing facilities across the globe.

About the Role

You will work closely with a diverse group of highly skilled layout professionals who are responsible for tool layout design, construction design support, and the layout business process. Your partnership with Micron's Technology Development team will focus on developing innovative semiconductor production tools that deliver world-class capabilities, solidifying Micron's manufacturing leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate layout models for Micron's U.S. manufacturing sites that meet or exceed established critical metric targets.
  2. Establish layout requirements during Micron's quarterly business plan reviews.
  3. Collect and analyze layout data for Micron's manufacturing sites to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend design changes, and suggest new processes that enhance Micron's overall manufacturing efficiency.
  4. Maintain a layout data repository that can be used for historical validation and information sharing across multiple departments.
  5. Collaborate with the Technology Development team to influence the design of future process equipment that enables improved space efficiency.
  6. Actively engage in and contribute to Micron's environmental sustainability projects.
  7. Present your layout designs and recommendations to Micron's Senior Leaders and Executive team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (MS Degree preferred).
  • Five years' specific and confirmed experience.
  • Expert proficiency using AutoCad, BIM, Revit, Factory Design Utility, and other similar layout software applications.
  • Direct experience with process equipment and facilities design.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
