Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes, including communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
Requirements:
  • Current MA RN license required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years L&D nursing experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills required.
  • Fetal Monitoring preferred.
Physical Environment:

The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.

Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements. Other duties may include general cleaning with exposure to dirt, odors, cramped quarters, etc. RN's may work with angry, agitated, and combative patients.
