Ultrasound Specialist - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Pediatrix Medical Group is looking for a dedicated Ultrasound Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding patients to examination areas, clarifying procedures, gathering data for medical interpretation, maintaining accurate records, and assisting healthcare providers during various medical interventions. Additionally, you will ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, adhere to safety standards, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide patients to examination areas
- Clarify procedures to patients and their families
- Gather data for interpretation by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist in medical procedures such as amniocentesis
- Code services rendered
- Ensure ultrasound equipment is well-maintained
- Identify and resolve equipment issues
Qualifications:
- At least six months of experience in an OB/GYN environment
- Graduate from an accredited sonography program
- CPR certification is mandatory
- ARDMS certification in OB/GYN or eligibility required
