About the Role

The Director of Health Information Management is a key leadership position at Central Carolina Hospital, responsible for overseeing the planning, direction, and daily operations of the Health Information Management Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures for health information management
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee the release of information, prepping, scanning, and indexing of medical records
  • Manage the maintenance and storage of medical information
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members
  • Serve as the Privacy Officer for the facility

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in a Health Management department
  • 2 years of supervisor experience
  • Director-level experience preferred
  • RHIA or RHIT certification preferred
