The Lebanese American University Gilbert & Rose Marie Chagoury School of Medicine is seeking a distinguished Chair for the Department of Surgery to lead the department's growth and development.
The Department of Surgery encompasses various divisions, including General Surgery, Urology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Surgical Oncology/Hepatobiliary Surgery.
The ideal candidate will have completed surgical training in one of the above-mentioned sub-specialties, with a strong preference for American or European board certification or equivalent. The successful candidate must possess leadership and administrative skills, as well as a strong interest in developing a career in academic leadership.
Key responsibilities will include overseeing surgical residency training programs, medical student surgical education, and clinical research programs. The Chair will have the opportunity to shape the department's future direction and develop programs of excellence.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the School of Medicine's mission, vision, and strategy for growth and development.
