About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our SaaS Engineering team at Oracle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated machine learning models for anomaly detection in system logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of machine learning models for anomaly detection, including selecting algorithms, designing model architecture, and ensuring robust model training and validation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large-scale, time-series data to identify patterns and anomalies that can predict service failures, utilizing statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
  • Mentor junior data scientists, providing guidance on best practices in data science, model development, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Drive continuous innovation in feature engineering, model optimization, and the application of new technologies to enhance the accuracy and performance of predictive models.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning and predictive modeling.
  • Strong expertise in Python and R programming languages, with a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms such as LSTM, GRU, and Transformers.
  • Proficiency in using libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Proven track record of working with large datasets and big data technologies, including Hadoop and Spark.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues proactively.
