About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Financial Manager to join our team at Searchlogic Recruiting, LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our co-invest funds, REITs, and other investment-level entities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big-4 firm, and worked with commercial real estate or private equity funding. You will work closely with our investor relations and operations teams to complete the reporting requirements of co-invest funds, REITs, and other investment-level entities.

You will be responsible for preparing all quarterly and annual audited financial statements for the funds, as well as some underlying properties, and coordinating with auditors and/or tax preparers. Additionally, you will update and analyze valuation waterfalls for all Fund property investments on a quarterly basis for investments held longer than 1 year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post monthly and annual close activities for a portfolio of fund and REIT/TRS entities and their underlying properties.
  • Thoroughly review all financials and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare all quarterly and annual audited financial statements for the funds, as well as some underlying properties, and coordinate with auditors and/or tax preparers.
  • Ensure compliance by referencing legal documents as necessary.
  • Assist the Controller with monthly/quarterly calculations of distributable proceeds, and record distributions received by the fund/upper-tier entity in the general ledger.

Requirements

  • 2-4 Years of experience in public accounting.
  • Big 4 firm experience preferred.
  • Fund accounting and real estate experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, financial accounting processes, and general ledger reconciliation.
