Job SummaryWe are seeking a Part-Time Residential Aide to join our team at our Short-Term Housing Program. As a Residential Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting security rounds, completing incident reports, and maintaining a professional relationship with clients.
Responsibilities- Conduct at least 9 security rounds per shift to ensure the safety and security of clients and staff.
- Complete all security and fire logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete comprehensive and accurate incident reports for all incidents in the facility.
- Submit incident reports for review and alert the supervisor to submit to the funder within 24 hours.
- Complete shift exchanged shifts accurately by verifying who is in and out of the facility daily.
- Attend at least one staff meeting quarterly to stay informed and provide feedback.
- Contact supervisors anytime there is a need to involve NYPD, EMS, and/or FDNY.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
- Respond to emergencies in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Update staff via written logs, notes, face-to-face meetings, etc.
- Observe and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
- Control pedestrian access and traffic inside facilities to maintain order and security of people and property.
- Warn violators of rule infractions and, under direction, request violators to leave the premises.
- Sufficient education and technical expertise to comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Basic math skills to accomplish maintenance tasks and to document accomplished tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Security Guard Certificate preferred.
$18.00 hourly
About the RoleThis is a part-time position, working 14 hours per week, Saturday-Sunday 4PM-12AM. CAMBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace.
