Residential Aide

Comunilife Inc. is seeking a Residential Aide to join its team at the Brooklyn House congregate program in Brooklyn, NY.
Job Summary:The Residential Aide will be responsible for monitoring clients and ensuring the safety within the facility. The Residential Aide will be the primary connection between the operations staff and the clients, spending a large amount of time with the residents to provide hands-on assistance and insight into the current atmosphere in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor the security of the entire facility by reviewing the surveillance system and conducting periodic rounds on facility floors, as assigned.
- Ensure the safety of all residents and staff and distribute PPE.
- Document all residents, staff, and visitors entering and exiting the building.
- Complete census forms, report all incidents, and log all events in the Facility Log Book.
- Facilitate resident new admissions and move-outs.
- Record all daily census reports in the CARES system.
- Generate and submit nightly rosters to funding sources.
- File all paperwork relating to shift coverage.
- Provide a professional greeting to all visitors and callers.
- Generate and submit all incident reports, which includes detailed information of the incident, and names of the first responders.
- Ensure the lobby and front of the building are always cleared.
- Prevent loitering in all areas within and surrounding the building.
- Assist with fire drills/emergency custodial and security staff with the maintenance and security of the facility.
- Distribute mail to staff and clients.
- Enforce the curfew regulations and facilitate room checks and hourly rounds.
- Facilitate the food distribution process, including receiving food delivery, light food preparation, serving food, and disposal of trash and sanitizing food service areas.
- Implement all programmatic needs as necessary and outlined by the Director and Funding Sources.
- Responsible for partial Intake Assessment, including but not limited to Client and family members as necessary.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language.
