Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, repair, modification, and unlocking of various locking mechanisms utilized in doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and install locking mechanisms as needed.
2. Disassemble units to replace worn components such as tumblers and springs.
3. Repair parts through techniques like filing, drilling, and grinding.
4. Unlock doors and safes using lock picking techniques or by listening to lock sounds.
5. Create new or duplicate keys with a key cutting machine.
6. Change lock combinations by inserting new or repaired tumblers.
7. Establish keying systems for various buildings.
8. Install and repair panic hardware as required.
9. Travel frequently between facilities.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety programs.
11. Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, acquired through on-the-job training or formal apprenticeship programs.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment common to the locksmith trade.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively respond to inquiries and escalate complex issues as necessary.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.

Licenses/Certifications:
Depending on local and state requirements, the following may be necessary:
- Federal Security Clearance
- GSA Safe & Vault Technician Certification
- Locksmith Certification
- Valid Driver's License

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $23.54.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must be capable of performing the following physical tasks for extended periods, with or without assistance:
- Maneuvering around equipment
- Standing and walking
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Lifting boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Climbing step stools or ladders
- Traveling to various locations within customer sites.
