About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handling Controls Intern to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Services Corporation. As a Material Handling Controls Intern, you will assist with the inspection, integration, and testing of various Material Handling Controls implementations that form the backbone of our key business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Teams with electrical drawings, installation, inspection, testing, and issue tracking.
- Support corporate and/or division MHE enhancement projects with evaluations, cost-saving initiatives, implementation plans, testing, documentation, delivery, deployment for project control/systems/hardware, and project closeout.
- Assist with training and support of automated Material Handling installations.
- Keep the management updated with accurate project and task information.
- Participate in requirements, design, documentation, and evaluations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution.
- Junior or senior status.
- Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future.
- Electrical background with 480 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24 VDC experience, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC Logic, syntax, system interfaces, and networking is a plus.
- Knowledge of SICK, DataLogix, or Cognex Scanners is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Good decision-making skills and customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills; attention to detail.
