About the Role
The Nursing Assistant - Patient Care Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support services in a skilled nursing setting. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and a passion for working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and support services under the supervision of licensed nurses, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and personal care activities.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in patient care and support services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
