Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) Manager

Absci is a pioneering biotech company that leverages artificial intelligence to revolutionize the field of biologics development. We are seeking a highly skilled CMC Manager to drive the development, scale-up, and quality control of our AI-generated assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the CMC development process, ensuring seamless coordination with contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement process development and characterization strategies to advance our internal pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure efficient and cost-effective project completion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as chemistry, chemical engineering, or pharmaceutical sciences, with advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, with a focus on CMC.
  • Strong knowledge of biologics development processes, including cell line development, upstream and downstream process development, and formulation development.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting CMC programs from development through commercialization.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $130,000/year.
