We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Comprehensive Logistics Co., LLC (CLI). As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects that support plant operations, including process improvements and development of new tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute engineering projects to improve plant operations and efficiency
  • Represent CLI in a professional manner with customers and suppliers
  • Lead problem-solving analysis and develop corrective actions for quality issues
  • Teach, lead, and continuously improve all areas of the business
  • Lead line balancing and process changes for current and future operations
  • Interface with operations teams, including quality, materials, and maintenance
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Understand CLI operations, including sequencing, sub-assembly, shipping, and receiving
  • Interface with plant liaisons on a daily basis regarding issues
  • Follow and improve CLI business systems
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and have a positive attitude
  • Effectively interact with, lead, and develop people
  • Work closely with other engineers to ensure continuity
  • Customer-focused and able to work with operators on the floor as well as CLI management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing with a proven track record of problem-solving
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with the APQP system
  • VAA or manufacturing experience
  • Plant and assembly cell layout experience
  • Experience with Elemental Time Studies and Value Stream Mapping
  • Start-Up, Equipment Installation, and Launch experience required
  • Experience with PLC
  • Understanding and experience of assembly tooling and equipment and ROBOTICS
  • Tier 1 automotive experience required
  • Sub-assembly and Sequencing experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
