We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, communicating with patients, and ensuring the quality of radiographs.
Key Responsibilities- Competently perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.
- Identify patients, label images, and process radiographs to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist and communicate with radiologists, and prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. You must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling.
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids. Personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
Clear speech, vision, and hearing are required for this role.
