At the City of Philadelphia, we are committed to providing excellent services to our citizens. As an Accounting Associate - Payroll Operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for city employees.

About the Role

This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing payroll records, maintaining employee leave and attendance records, and providing information and resolving problems related to employee pay and leave.

Responsibilities
  • Review and process payroll records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain employee leave and attendance records
  • Provide information and resolve problems related to employee pay and leave
  • Work with departmental employees and central agency representatives to resolve payroll-related issues
Requirements
  • Clerical experience is required, with two years of experience preferred
  • Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade is required
  • Ability to physically perform the duties and work in the environmental conditions required of the position
