Job Summary

As a Slitter Operator at Labor Solutions, LLC, you will be responsible for operating slitting equipment to meet production demands while ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate slitting equipment with supervision
  • Communicate with Material Handlers to meet production or packaging demands
  • Load material, set correct blade position, and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot faults during running, including tension, cut quality, rewind quality, and machine problems
  • Verify product quality meets or exceeds customer and company standards
  • Calculate material usage, including scrap, and record on work orders
  • Label finished products with accurate information and label unused raw material for return to warehouse
  • Recognize and report existing or potential equipment problems
  • Suggest process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and communication
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Follow all safety practices and maintain a clean and orderly work area
