Position Overview: As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical care to critically ill patients. You will work with diverse patient populations, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates, addressing a variety of respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and lung cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide treatment for patients experiencing respiratory challenges.
- Supervise and guide other respiratory care providers in delivering effective patient care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Document and communicate patient progress and conditions effectively.
- Administer advanced respiratory therapies and medications, including blood gas analysis.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and available support resources.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a critical care setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
- Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Normal hearing and vision, or corrected to normal standards.
- Capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment: Adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
