We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Spartech LLC. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform standard tests on assigned product line production batches and incoming raw materials to ensure meeting of Spartech and customer specifications.
- Issue rejections if material is out of specification and recommend adjustments to meet specifications.
- Record test results in SAP and maintain reference files.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
- Collect, store, and retain product samples.
- Ensure all gauges and test equipment are verified and perform calibration and maintenance as needed.
- Audit processes to ensure proper paperwork is completed and processes are within established limits.
- Participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Complete and send documentation to customers, including Certificates of Analysis (COA).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Problem-solving techniques and analytical skills.
- 2 to 5 years of quality/lab experience in a manufacturing environment, with visual inspection and color matching experience highly desirable.
- Experience in plastic extrusion, web converting, or films preferred.
