Salary

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 per year, ensuring our Clinical Psychologists are rewarded for their expertise and dedication.

Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Matrix Providers, you will provide comprehensive care to patients dealing with various issues, including pain management, psychological factors influencing physical conditions, or difficulty coping with medical problems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and treating patients through clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources
  • Establishing psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
  • Providing psychological treatment for individuals and groups, helping medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
  • Assisting in the rehabilitation of patients

You will work within the Medical Homeport Department, with the possibility of outpatient behavioral health responsibilities not exceeding 40% of weekly duty time upon request by command.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university
  • A successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association
  • One year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine or one year of experience in the last three years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems
  • A current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands
