About the Opportunity
The Department of Media Arts, Design and Technology at North Carolina State University is seeking a part-time non-tenure-track faculty member to teach in our Media Arts, Design and Technology program. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in media arts, design, and technology who can teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of courses in media arts, design, and technology, including art studios, special topic seminars, and other courses as needed.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
- Advise and mentor students in the Media Arts, Design and Technology program.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Terminal Master's degree in a field relevant to the specific area of instruction (i.e. Art, Design, other art-related course), or relevant master's degree with professional practice in that related field.
- Demonstrated ability or aptitude in the areas specific to the courses to be taught.
- Demonstrated potential for directing activities specific to the courses to be taught.
- Ability and willingness to participate in departmental and University affairs.
- Demonstrated leadership in the professional field and community.
- Demonstrated professional or scholarly competency with a mix of traditional and leading-edge technologies and methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in teaching at the college level.
