Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide exceptional service of beverages and food in a welcoming, polite, and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the service station is properly set up and maintained for cleanliness before, during, and after each shift.
  • Welcome guests promptly and courteously, providing information on specials, promotions, and available snacks.
  • Accurately take beverage orders, demonstrating knowledge of all available drinks, including premium brands and taps.
  • Serve appropriate snacks and garnishes with all beverages.
  • Input orders into the point of sale system efficiently to notify the bartender of requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness at guest tables and assist in the upkeep of the bar area.
  • Replenish beverages as needed, regularly checking in with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Present checks to guests in a timely manner, expressing gratitude and encouraging future visits.
  • Perform general cleaning duties using standard cleaning products as directed by management to comply with health standards.
  • Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as requested, including special guest requests.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, particularly regarding alcoholic beverages.
  • Understanding of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu offerings.
  • Ability to read and comprehend menus and promotions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Capability to memorize, recite, and promote a diverse range of menu items.
  • Physical ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through crowded areas consistently during shifts.
  • Compliance with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor throughout shifts.
  • Complete all assigned side work and daily checklists.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Stay motivated during both busy and slow periods of service.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain funds responsibly.
  • Proficient in operating a keyboard and learning point of sale procedures for order processing.
  • No prior experience necessary; previous cocktail service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain any required licenses or certifications, including TIPS certification, with bartender certification preferred.
