Job Summary

The Electrician will work closely with the Plant Electrical Engineer to perform a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or distribution of electrical energy. The successful candidate will install, maintain, and replace electronic programmable controllers for the use in the manufacture of aluminum cans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and propose and implement remedies.
  • Work off shifts (afternoons and midnights) and overtime, as necessary.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
  • Effective record-keeping skills and the ability to focus on details.
Requirements
  • AS Electrical Engineering preferred, but not required.
  • Journeyman license preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3+ year's industrial electrical/programming experience or two-year technical degree strongly preferred.
