Treasury Analyst Job Description

Gables Residential Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Treasury Analyst to join our accounting team in Atlanta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for various accounting and financial operations tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with account administration duties, including opening and closing bank accounts, establishing fraud protection, and maintaining a log of all bank accounts.
  • Act as a backup system administrator for third-party banking systems, ensuring a controlled environment and limited account visibility to users.
  • Release wires outside of Kyriba, ensuring proper authorization and documentation exists.
  • Assist accountants and property managers with transaction inquiries, stop payments, and other investigations.
  • Review daily check and ACH positive pay exceptions and ensure exceptions are cleared in a timely manner prior to bank cutoffs.
  • Work with the Controller and IT team to assist with the development and implementation of various Treasury technology initiatives.
  • Review daily wire activity in Kyriba and provide wire confirmations to interested parties.
  • Release daily wires in Kyriba.
  • Maintain and update Kyriba vendor additions and maintenance.
  • Remit unclaimed property/escheat in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Assist with P-Card administration.
  • Yardi check scanning and bank deposits when necessary.

Requirements:
  • B.A. with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of three years' real estate accounting experience with a sound understanding of banking and treasury.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to adapt to various accounting software.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present concepts both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Working Conditions:
This position is exempt from overtime and may require working hours as needed to perform the position requirements satisfactorily. The position is scheduled for an average 40-hour workweek, with the possibility of additional hours depending on reporting requirements. Travel may be required periodically.
