We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in beautiful Vermont. As a Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating various imaging equipment, including x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines. You will also be responsible for transporting patients, preparing them for exams, and using the hospital computer system and PACS system.

Additional responsibilities include performing clerical tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and preparing changes. You will also be responsible for assisting with quality control/assurance programs and participating in quality control projects as needed.

Highlights of the position include:

  • Quality Assurance/Control: Assist with quality control/assurance programs and participate in quality control projects as needed.
  • MRI: Recognize abnormal findings and obtain additional sequences images to show pathology, and may require the use of contrast.
  • Radiographs: Set up techniques, prepare identification, position patients, determine exposure, adjust equipment following departmental procedures, and review and evaluate images to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Radiation Safety: Understand and practice radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Examinations Rooms: Set up examination rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment is ready, maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the work area, and follow infection control practices.
  • Clerical duties: Assist with record keeping, answer phones, schedule appointments, and prepare changes.
  • Contrast Media: Assist Radiologist in administering contrast media, monitor patient conditions and reactions, and report abnormal signs to Radiologist or ED.
  • Training: Must be competent to instruct fellow technologists in the art of their working modalities.
  • Mammography: Operate equipment as directed, maintain CME credits as mandated by MQSA, adjust techniques and equipment to achieve the highest quality images.
  • CT Scans: Perform the necessary clerical work related to obtaining previous reports or scans and other diagnostic information in its proper order for the physician's interpretation.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Completion of formal Radiological Technology training in an AMA-approved school.
  • One to two years of practical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Advanced training in Mammo / CT / Bone Density or Ultrasound.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science.
