Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and driven professional to assume the role of Automation Surveillance Manager within our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM) team, located in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish direction and strategy to achieve Automation objectives.
- Facilitate resource alignment and allocation.
- Adopt a global perspective to connect the Automation team with the Business Unit.
- Create an environment that empowers team members to make daily decisions while providing necessary tools, training, and support.
- Ensure a productive working environment to meet Business Unit targets.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles and conflicts, both internal and external.
- Oversee, communicate, and ensure adherence to Oxy standards and best practices.
- Design and implement staff development initiatives.
- Present recommendations and approval requests to senior management in collaboration with the Automation Manager.
- Identify and enhance process and control equipment inefficiencies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in QAQC audit processes.
- Effectively utilize internal and external resources within the business unit.
- Participate in multidisciplinary technical reviews of major assets and new business opportunities.
- Contribute to annual and long-term business planning.
- Supervise a diverse team within the Automation Surveillance sector.
- Develop staffing plans and forecasts to ensure adequate personnel levels to support business objectives.
- Successfully recruit, hire, and onboard candidates who align with the position and organizational culture.
- Enhance the professional and technical skills of team members through performance management, including goal setting, coaching, and training.
- Develop and manage programs, systems, and practices to maintain a safe, productive, and environmentally responsible workplace.
