Position Summary
The Customer Relationship Specialist II is tasked with providing exceptional service to both existing and prospective clients. Individuals in this role will demonstrate strong communication abilities and possess in-depth knowledge of the financial products and services available. This position is crucial for identifying referral opportunities that lead to outstanding customer service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively seeks opportunities to enhance customer relationships to meet both personal and branch objectives.
- Effectively drive sales by fostering relationships, delivering excellent service, and showcasing product expertise. Monitor and track sales and opportunities using customer information systems.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of personal banking products, trusts, HSAs, IRAs, and business services.
- Skilled in non-real estate secured lending.
- Develop a solid understanding of real estate secured lending.
- Identify customer needs through effective questioning techniques to strengthen client relationships.
- Make referrals to banking partners leveraging skills acquired through internal sales training.
- Meet or surpass personal and team sales targets.
- Exhibit strong decision-making capabilities and conduct sales activities with minimal supervision.
- Engage in onsite customer visits to promote the Perks at Work Program and Merchant Services.
- Participate in outbound teleconsulting to enhance and expand existing client relationships.
- Accurately process customer transactions while ensuring security against fraud.
- Engage in community events to create networking opportunities.
- Participate in bank-sponsored community initiatives.
- Train and mentor new employees on teller and banking systems.
- Actively engage in weekly team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Serve as a backup for Universal Banker II roles in various Midland States Bank locations.
- Demonstrate and embody the core values of Midland States Bank that support our organizational culture.
- Complete all assigned training activities in a timely manner.
- This role may require occasional travel for training and team meetings, as well as periodic travel to various locations as needed.
- May necessitate working in a Midland office to facilitate collaboration and support for both internal and external clients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated background in sales and customer service.
- This position requires registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and transport coin and currency bags as necessary (weighing between 25lbs and 50lbs).
