Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in surgical services or the operating room. As a Surgical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs before, during, and after surgery. You will also prepare the operating room environment, ensure a sterile environment is maintained, and provide intraoperative support to the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and monitor patient needs before, during, and after surgery.
* Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and equipment.
* Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
* Provide intraoperative support to the surgical team, anticipating their needs as required.
* Act as the patient's advocate throughout the surgical process, ensuring their rights and dignity are respected.
* Coordinate communication between the surgical team and other departments, ensuring seamless workflow.
Qualifications
* Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
* Licensure: Current Texas RN license required.
* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
* Experience: 1-2 years of experience in surgical services or the operating room is required.
* Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, we provide excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
