Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse II to join our team at Tewksbury Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care for patients with mental health conditions, following professional, hospital, and departmental standards.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to facilitate patient discharge.
  • Administer medications and treatments, following hospital policies and procedures, to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify and respond to changes in patient conditions, documenting and reporting such changes to ensure prompt response to patient needs.
  • Maintain awareness of hospital policies and procedures, including those related to seclusion and restraint, to ensure patient dignity and human rights.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain professional competencies and stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health nursing.
Requirements
  • Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • At least one year of full-time experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
