What We Do
As part of our Internal Audit team, you will be responsible for executing and leading various audit functions, including SOX audits, due diligence assessments, fraud investigations, and special projects. Your role will involve providing valuable insights, risk management strategies, and technological expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation, planning, and execution of complex audits in line with established Internal Audit frameworks and industry standards.
2. Identify and research issues, providing thorough analysis and proposing effective solutions.
3. Prepare comprehensive documentation that supports audit activities and conclusions, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards.
4. Contribute to special projects focused on process improvement initiatives.
5. Draft initial versions of audit reports and formulate meaningful recommendations for the audited operations.
6. Incorporate data analysis into workpapers and final reports.
7. Participate in the evaluation of remediation efforts related to observations noted in audit reports.
Qualifications:
- A degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, criminal justice, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, and/or CFE are advantageous.
- 2-4 years of experience in auditing or accounting, with a focus on the financial services sector, ideally in insurance, banking, or real estate mortgage services.
- Familiarity with operational auditing, business process enhancement, or re-engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Proficient analytical, audit, and investigative skills.
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) and SQL query development is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge, including Excel macros or Visual Basic scripting, is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, up to approximately 25%.
Compensation:
The annual pay range for this position is $69,894 to $97,075. This range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay at the time of posting and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
