Position Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic II plays a crucial role in the Facilities Management department, ensuring the effective operation of all mechanical systems and equipment within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of unmanned machinery areas to monitor equipment functionality.
2. Take necessary actions to maintain or restore systems and equipment to optimal operating conditions.
3. Operate and manage boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, and other machinery to support plant operations.
4. Ensure system operations comply with established procedures, including switching fuel sources and managing gas bottles.
5. Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections as required.
6. Respond to system alarms related to refrigeration, heating, cooling, and other critical systems, taking appropriate corrective actions.
7. Initiate emergency response actions in line with departmental policies and protocols.
8. Maintain detailed logs of boiler room and machinery operations, including consumption data and system parameters.
9. Oversee the activities of maintenance personnel and contractors during after-hours operations.

Qualifications:
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational training in relevant fields preferred.

Experience:
2-4 years of experience in plant operations or building maintenance is essential, with a preference for candidates with healthcare experience.

Licensure:
A valid driver's license is mandatory and must be maintained throughout employment.

Work Schedule:
This position typically requires availability Monday through Friday.
