Maintenance Mechanic II

As a Maintenance Mechanic II at Elliot Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal reliability and performance of our facilities' assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and operate all mechanical equipment, systems, and spaces throughout the facility.
- Perform periodic checks of unmanned machinery spaces to ensure designated machinery is operating correctly.
- Respond to system alarms, including refrigeration, oxygen/piped gas, heating/cooling, boilers, and generators.
- Initiate 'First Response' actions during emergency/contingency situations.
- Maintain boiler room and machine room logs, including steam, fuel, and water consumption data.
- Monitor the activities of after-hour maintenance personnel, contractors, or vendor personnel.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary school or vocational training preferred.
- A minimum of two-four (2-4) years of experience in plant operations and/or building maintenance required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Valid driver's license required and must be maintained throughout the duration of appointment in position.
