Job Summary:

The Building People, LLC is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, modifying, adjusting, and repairing various plumbing systems and components. This includes water distribution and sewage collection systems, water mains, distribution systems, and backflow preventers, as well as plumbing fixtures and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and maintain plumbing systems and components to ensure proper operation and prevent leaks.
Lubricate plumbing-related machinery and equipment.
Install, connect, and replace steam, gas, and water lines to laboratory equipment.
Clear clogged drains and sewage lines.
Adjust and repair leaking joints, faucets, pipes, etc.
Repair pumps and valves.
Replace seals and couplings.
Reset loose commodes and sinks; unclog, repair, and replace commodes and sinks.
Clean storm sewers and catch basins.
Maintain and repair plumbing waste lines and valves.
Cut or drill holes and openings in walls and floors and set sleeves, thimbles, or inserts providing passage and support for pipe and fittings.
Check and replace meters and gauges.
Paint replaced piping services ensuring proper coding/identification and color consistency.
Monitor the pH of the acid waste neutralization tank to ensure it remains at pH 7, periodically clean out sludge, and replace the bed as required with limestone 1-3 inches in diameter and containing more than 90% calcium carbonate.

Requirements:

Five (5) years of experience in a variety of plumbing systems and components.
High School diploma or GED.
Clear background investigation.
Clear driver's license and have reliable transportation to work.
High level of plumbing installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Maintenance documentation completion and filing.
Customer service skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiar with CMMS.
Excellent organizational skills.
