Under minimal supervision, the Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for the repair, calibration, and maintenance of various biomedical technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. This role involves inspecting, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on general medical equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a wide array of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment promptly to reduce downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and electrical safety tests on devices and systems regularly.
- Diagnose and rectify system and equipment issues effectively.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service.
- Manage costs in accordance with budgetary constraints.
- Exhibit professional conduct consistently.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation regarding new equipment inspections and repairs.
- Maintain company-issued tools and equipment properly.
- Ensure effective communication within the region/division and with vendors, manufacturers, and clients.
- Adhere to company policies and government regulations.
- Develop and present solution options to supervisors for critical challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and training on equipment operation and maintenance to staff.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Meet expected productivity levels in line with billing requirements.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Biomedical Technician.
- Preferred: CBET certification.
