Excela Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced House Supervisor RN to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining primary responsibility for patient flow and bed placement hospital-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with nursing office staff, team leaders, and managers to ensure optimal utilization of human resources.
- Supervise nursing service activities and provide additional management support to staff while maintaining professional standards and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining patient safety through ongoing communication with staff, team leaders, and managers.
- Respond to emergencies and assist with patient care and management as necessary.
- Participate in hospital-wide performance improvement projects.
- Assist with staff development and promote positive interdepartmental communications.
- Provide information related to the status of the hospital, including current census and patient/unit activity, to physicians, administrators, managers, patient care staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
- Minimum three years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care facility.
- Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency with IV insertion and basic arrhythmia training preferred.
- Current PA RN License, Healthcare Provider CPR, and Act 33/73 clearances required.
- Preferred: ACLS and PALS certifications.
