Role Overview:

WHAT YOU WILL ENCOUNTER IN THIS ROLE:

  • Facilitates resolution processes for both product and production methodologies.
  • Conducts process validations, in-process evaluations, and monitoring, assessing the quality of production methods and products.
  • Offers assistance to design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams for data gathering, analysis, product assessment, and process capabilities.
  • Communicates effectively with relevant departments as necessary (supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, customer support, production scheduling, logistics, etc.).
  • Executes product assessments and evaluations to identify causes and/or resolutions.
  • Performs routine evaluations of internal components to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Oversees calibrations and inventory management of inspection measurement tools.
  • Provides support for audits in designated areas.
  • Engages in lean initiatives as required.
  • Adheres to all relevant safety regulations and reports any unsafe conditions or potential hazards.
  • Undertakes other related responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Educational Background: High school diploma or G.E.D. Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in or with:
    • 1 year of experience in quality processes is preferred.
    • Familiarity with charting and process control techniques is preferred.
    • Experience with Quality Management Systems and precision measurement tools is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to identify root causes of routine issues and develop solutions.
    • Attention to detail and precision.
    • Proficient in using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Capabilities to meet physical and environmental demands:
    • Ability to effectively organize, plan workload, and work independently.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with various functional areas within the organization.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
    • Ability to interpret and apply Quality System / ISO procedures and documentation.
    • Ability to apply relevant mathematical and geometric concepts.
    • Must be flexible to changing priorities and tasks.
    • Knowledge of nVent product design and manufacturing processes is preferred.
