Job Overview

Family Empowerment Specialist is sought to collaborate with educators in the community to support children and their families. This role involves providing essential resources and assistance to families, aiming to foster success for elementary school students and help them navigate challenges.

The selected candidate will engage with families and educators to evaluate needs, establish objectives, and formulate strategies to enhance stability and support. Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $18.78 per hour.

  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Consistent attendance and a genuine passion for assisting those in need.
  • A positive, empathetic demeanor, capable of thriving in a dynamic, structured environment with high expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human and Family Studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a social services environment.
  • Familiarity with family engagement practices and a solid understanding of family development and social services.
  • Opportunity to obtain a Family Development Credential (FDC) within the first two years of employment.
