Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and healthcare team.
- Administer oxygen therapy and manage patient airways.
- Provide nebulized medications and manage patient secretions.
Requirements:
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, preferred.
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy, required.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist, NC Respiratory Care Practitioner, Basic Life Support, and Registered Respiratory Therapist certifications, required.
Work Schedule:
- 3 days, 12-hour shifts.
- Every third weekend.
- Call requirements, yes.
