**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
* Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments.
* Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
* Pass instruments to the physician during surgery.
* Continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
* Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

**Requirements:**

* High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
* State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
* 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
* BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
