Assembler

This role is part of a team responsible for assembling a variety of MDI products to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of tasks, including notch, punch, clip, assemble, and package material.
  • Operate various hand tools and equipment, such as air units, double ram presses, hand drills, rivet guns, belt sanders, hand files, staple guns, glue guns, banders, spring pluggers, and foam machines.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately based on Work Center Supervisor's instructions and/or information contained in the shop packet.
  • Collaborate with other Assemblers to ensure each step of the assembly process is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the work center and contribute to implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in cross-training others in the work center to enhance efficiency and knowledge.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure equipment is in proper condition.
  • Participate in safety trainings and adhere to all Company safety standards.
  • Exemplify a professional work demeanor upholding the Company Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Ability to perform basic wiring or sewing tasks, if applicable.
  • License required for powered material handling equipment, the walkie, if applicable.
Work Environment:

The employee is required to stand and use hands and arms to move parts. The employee is frequently required to walk and occasionally to stoop or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Ear protection is required where designated.
