Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Developer/Analyst to contribute to the development and integration of satellite ground processing applications. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional capabilities for National Security and Defense. The successful candidate will be adept in low-latency data processing and tracking algorithms for remote sensing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Modify and enhance existing C++ data processing code for specific mission applications.
  • Create new software solutions for complex processing algorithms utilizing both open-source and proprietary libraries and APIs.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of new processing methodologies and algorithms.
  • Design and implement tools for testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking.
  • Gather, analyze, and present application performance metrics.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team environment and contribute to shared resources.
  • Engage with industry and government partners to facilitate integration and testing processes.
  • Document requirements, designs, and performance metrics for reporting to stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technologies.
  • Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in scientific data analysis.
  • Ability to conduct independent analysis on complex software systems.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in presenting data to various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work on-site.
  • Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • Attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in optimizing high data throughput processing.
  • Experience with the exploitation of various remotely sensed data types.
  • Solid understanding of modern object-oriented design principles.
  • Advanced degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
  • Experience with C++ standards 14, 17, and 20.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Rust programming languages.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
