Ambulatory Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryThe Ambulatory Care Nurse will be responsible for coordinating, integrating, and implementing nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures. This includes supporting the coordination of patient care, collecting patient health data, and collaborating with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans of care.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and document patient clinical historical and assessment data
- Perform onsite testing, including POC lab testing, EKG, specimen collection, and auditory & visual testing
- Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns
- Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed to support patient flow and efficiency
- Support key quality initiatives, such as MIPS and Care Gap Management, to impact clinical outcome measures
To qualify for this role, you must have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or a Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing with a minimum of one year of experience and plans to earn a baccalaureate degree. You must also be a current Registered Professional Nurse in New York and have Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association. Fluency in written and spoken English language skills is required.
