We are seeking a skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) in a key role within our Data & Analytics Division. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist and strategic legal advice to support our businesses across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a wide range of legal advice and support to senior management, commercial teams, and leadership groups in the Americas.
  • Review, draft, revise, and negotiate agreements with customers, vendors, partners, and other third parties.
  • Advise on legal issues related to content/data/news collection, usage, and licensing.
  • Research and respond to general legal inquiries from in-house clients.
  • Work on general corporate and data licensing matters, as well as projects to drive D&A's divisional objectives.
  • Identify ways to enhance internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate legal matters handled by outside counsel.
  • Maintain, update, and revise contract template agreements.
  • Help identify, assess, and brief Americas' Head of Legal on potential and actual risks and legal exposures.
  • Collaborate with specialist in-house lawyers and compliance professionals.
  • Implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a legal position handling commercial law subject areas.
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, and technology environments is highly desirable.
  • Must be qualified to practice in the U.S. and licensed in at least 1 state.
  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
  • Outstanding commitment to internal and external customer service.
  • Excellent planning, interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong skills to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Sound administrative and time management skills.
  • Proven track record to independently run projects and deadlines.
