Patient Access Associate

Job Summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Associate to join our team. As a key member of our admissions process, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and outpatients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient demographic, contact, and insurance information
  • Scan and manage insurance documents for use by other departments
  • Obtain necessary signatures for treatment and insurance billing
  • Utilize daily work and follow-up requests to communicate with other members of the Revenue Cycle team
  • Collaborate with Nursing Supervisors and other departments to initiate direct admits and communicate with patients without doctor's orders
Shift Details

This is a 36-hour per week, day shift position with a weekend and on-call rotation required.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting
