We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced game programming professor to join our faculty at the University of Advancing Technology. As a professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of game programming, developing and delivering collegiate learning experiences, and facilitating innovative student game projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver course materials related to college-level game programming courses
- Mentor students in game development and provide guidance on industry-standard game engines such as Unity and Unreal
- Facilitate innovative student game projects and provide feedback on their work
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in game programming
- Master's degree in Game Programming or a related field with 18 credit hours in game programming
- 3+ years of viable work/industry experience in game development
- Experience with application development approaches, game application documentation, and database integration into game applications
- Strong knowledge of game programming concepts, including rendering, transformations, lighting, collisions, AI, UI, and gameplay
