Job Title: Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at The Woodbine Inn and Restaurant. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and plating food to the highest standards, using recipes and menu items created by our owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Prepare food, including cleaning and cutting ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and salads.
  • Plate prepared foods according to set guidelines and presentation standards.
  • Work on different stations as directed by the kitchen team.
  • Collaborate with servers to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
  • Date label all food products according to safety requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with culinary certification or vocational school experience a plus.
  • Two years of previous line cook experience in a restaurant environment.
  • Active Food Handler's/Safe Serve Certificate.
  • Strong kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work on one's feet for most of the day and lift 40 pounds at a time.
