Job Summary

Louisville Water Company is seeking an experienced IT professional to join its team as a System Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, data networks, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network and system administration, as well as experience in designing and implementing security measures.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Maintain and manage system logging and event management, including periodic performance reporting.
  2. Perform daily system monitoring to verify the contents of system and application logs, completion of scheduled tasks, and reliability and availability of all server and network resources.
  3. Assist with internal and external audits, including penetration vulnerability assessments.
  4. Work with equipment vendors, software vendors, suppliers, and implementers to support the server and network environments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Five years of advanced experience in network/system administration, which includes purchasing, installing, upgrading, and supporting switches, routers, firewall management, wireless LAN controllers, intrusion prevention, security solutions, SIEM, access points, Microsoft Windows Server, UNIX/Linux systems, and storage administration including SAN and NAS environments.
  • Valid driver's license.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
