Job Overview

iwerk is a 30+ year old technology company with offices in Ferndale, MI and Ft. Worth, TX, seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our hardware team as a Hardware Processing Specialist. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that returned equipment from our nationwide clients is efficiently processed, documented, and organized in our warehouse.

This role requires a strong attention to detail and organization skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. You will be responsible for managing the check-in process for equipment, including unboxing, sorting, documenting, and maintaining organized records in our CRM system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing Returned Hardware: Handle all returned shipments to the warehouse, ensuring equipment is properly unboxed, sorted, and documented.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment, ensuring equipment is stored and cataloged appropriately.
  • Check-In Process: Follow established check-in processes for equipment, recording notes, and details in our CRM system.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all processed equipment, including making time entries and notes in the CRM.
  • Process Improvement: Look for ways to streamline and improve processes, increasing the speed and accuracy of hardware processing over time.
  • Self-Management: Work independently, while following supervision and guidance from the Hardware Manager.
  • Troubleshooting: Solve any challenges that arise during the processing of equipment, ensuring that the workflow continues smoothly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the hardware team to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals.

  • Basic computer literacy; technical knowledge of hardware is not required but is a plus.

Other Qualifications:

  • This role requires the ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • You will be standing and moving around for most of the day, as this is an active position in a warehouse setting.
  • The job involves physical tasks such as unboxing, sorting, and organizing equipment throughout the warehouse.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment is essential.
  • Must be capable of safely using equipment or tools related to moving and storing inventory.
