Job Summary

Alaska Teacher Placement is seeking a skilled Data and Communication Wire Installer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for installing data/communication wire from network closets, through ceilings, to various locations in schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install data/communication wire in schools, ensuring high-quality connections and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with our facilities team to identify and resolve technical issues related to network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our network infrastructure, including cable layouts and configurations.
  • Work closely with our IT team to ensure seamless integration of new installations with existing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on network equipment and infrastructure.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • High school-level math skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Valid Alaska Driver's License required.
