Job Title: DIRECTV Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DIRECTV Field Service Technician to join our team at Adcomm MDU. As a DIRECTV Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining DIRECTV services in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair DIRECTV equipment, including satellite dishes and receivers.
  • Test and troubleshoot DIRECTV systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, including answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Work at heights to install and service DIRECTV equipment, including using ladders and climbing.
  • Perform tasks in attics, basements, and crawl spaces, involving bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
  • Utilize a DIRECTV meter to peak and align satellite signals.
  • Install coaxial cables and set up DIRECTV receivers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or related field is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of cable systems, networking concepts, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic tools, such as adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, cable strippers, cutters, coax and Cat 5/6 crimpers, cordless drills, and Ethernet punch down tools.
  • Equipment, such as cable testers, multimeters, connectors, QAM meters, and Super Buddy meters.
